Important Updates
Do you know why homeless people don't have blogs? It's not because they don't have computer access, because they can always go to the public library. Rather, it is because when you are homeless, you have many very pressing concerns, such as "Where will I sleep tonight?" and "What is the maximum amount of bourbon I can buy for the smallest amount of money?" Blog updates are pushed to the back burner. All this is to say that I apologize for not updating the blog in a while. Here are some important updates:
1. The reading at The Bazaar was ultimately pushed to February 19th due to city-crippling blizzards. The reading went very well. About 25-30 people attended and no one stormed out. I plan to do another reading at The Bazaar sometime in the future. Also, I have audio of the reading, so I might post some clips from that at some point. Anyway, thanks to everyone who attended!
2. On February 22nd, I was the special guest at a playwriting class at Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA. In the same vein, "Hard Times for Ugly Men" is now required reading for this semester's English Senior Seminar class at my old Alma Mater, Roanoke College. By this time next year, I hope to have utterly destroyed the credibility of the American educational system.
3. In the immediate future, you can expect an update regarding a new book I'm self-publishing through Lulu.com. The current ETA is late March.
Rock on,
Ben
